MEET THE TEAM
Chiropractor
Anthony Cipperoni, D.C.
My name is Dr. Cipperoni, a board-certified chiropractic physician in Cardiff, CA. I’ve dedicated my life to helping others find relief pain relief while building healthier, stronger bodies. Being pain-free is just the first step. When you walk into my office in the heart of Cardiff, the goal is to quickly relieve your pain and help you build a stronger, more resilient body. But this all starts with you.
You have the right to know why you're in pain, how we're going to work together to fix it and most importantly, what you can do to prevent it from coming back!
Originally born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Cipperoni attended Loyola University Chicago and received a BS in Psychology and Natural Science.
While there, he competed as an amateur boxer, fighting in a number of tournaments around the city, including the Chicago Golden Gloves. While training, Dr. Cipperoni suffered a number of injuries, none worse than a traumatic shoulder dislocation while sparring. This led to two surgeries, requiring repair and reattachment of the labrum, biceps tendon, and rotator cuff. After two surgeries and months of rehab, Dr. Cipperoni had never fully recovered his range of motion in the shoulder joint. He sought out treatment from a number of practitioners including physical therapists, chiropractors, orthopedists, and massage therapists. At the time, he was working as an EMT on Chicago's south side. The physical demands of the job started to take a toll on his shoulder. It wasn't until he met an Active Release Technique (ART) certified chiropractor that he started to see some real improvement. After just a few weeks of treatment, Dr. Cipperoni had gained over 95% of the range of movement in his shoulder. It was this experience combined with Dr. Cipperoni's love for the human body and working with people to better themselves that he decided to embark on his chiropractic journey.
Dr. Cipperoni went to chiropractic school in Davenport, Iowa at Palmer College of Chiropractic. While there, he served as president of the sports injury and extremity club and head intern in the sports rehabilitation department. During his 9th trimester, he completed an externship at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, California. He had the opportunity to work with active-duty fighter pilots, mechanics, and some of the best and brightest in the physical medicine field-an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience.
After graduating from chiropractic school, Dr. Cipperoni joined a sports injury practice in suburban Chicago. It was here that he started to hone his soft tissue skills and desire to become the best practitioner he can be. It was at this time that he attended his first ART Spine seminar. He decided to continue his education in ART, learning upper and lower extremity protocols as well. He is now a full-body certified Active Release Techniques practitioner. Through ART, Dr. Cipperoni is able to help his patients return to the activities they love with less pain and better function.
Dr. Cipperoni also served as a visiting professor of anatomy and physiology at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago. Here, he was able to continue his studies in the human body and teach students from a variety of backgrounds. He currently serves as a visiting professor in anatomy and physiology at The University of Arizona.
Because Dr. Cipperoni has a strong desire to help his patients be healthy, strong and pain-free, he continues to stay up-to-date on the latest in joint, muscle, nerve, tendon and ligament pain research. He treats several athletes from three of his favorite sports-CrossFit, golf, and running
Dr. Cipperoni is specifically interested in how he can help active people develop and maintain better technique with less pain, leading to increased performance. He believes that all people have the right to pain-free performance and strives to work with his patients to achieve this goal. He feels the more he can teach his patients about how their body works, the better able they are to take care of it and live a healthier life.
Currently, Dr. Cipperoni, lives in Leucadia with his wife Keri.
